Thank you for your interest in NYS IAAI’s Awareness Series. This series of training modules is designed to educate and provide awareness to line fire officers and fire fighters concerning Origin and Cause investigations, the role of the fire investigator, multi-agency investigations, the role of suppression crews in fire investigations, and a host of other relevant topics. The modules are designed for quick, in-service training to be delivered by fire investigation professionals. In short, these modules seek to enhance your fire investigations and to make your job easier.

The attached PDF presentations are designed for easy use and quick delivery by fire investigators to their respective departments. They were developed in conjunction with a FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety Grant awarded to NYS IAAI in 2013. The grant funded the development and dissemination of these programs. Because of the grant requirements, it is mandated we track the number of students exposed to our programs.
